One-on-one coaching, built entirely around your player.

Film your player in the cage, the field, or the backyard. Send it over. A real coach breaks down the swing, the delivery, or the glove work and sends back specific fixes to work on that week. Every week.

One coach, one player, one plan. No group sessions, no shared attention.

Every review is a screen recording of your player's video with my voice over it, slowed down, drawn on, and broken into two or three things to actually fix. Not a paragraph of notes. Not a generic tip sheet.

GRINNELL COLLEGE · #5

Four years starting in college. Years spent developing youth athletes.

I played four years of college baseball at Grinnell College, all four as a starter, plus collegiate summer league ball against some of the best competition in the country. I competed at the highest level I could reach, so I know firsthand what separates the players who get to the next level from the ones who stall out.

Off the field, I am an accredited speed and agility coach with years of experience developing youth athletes. That part matters more than it sounds. A lot of what holds a young player back is not the swing itself. It is how they move, how they sequence, and whether anyone has ever explained to them why.

Team practice is built for the middle. Your best players get held back waiting on the group. The kids still figuring it out get left behind. Neither one is getting what they need. If a player wants to excel at whatever level they are chasing, individual coaching is not a luxury, it is the requirement.

This does not replace on field reps and it is not trying to. What it does is build the player. In a typical private lesson a kid gets told what to do for an hour and then goes home. Here they learn to see their own mechanics, understand why something is off, and fix it themselves. We teach the kid instead of just showing them. That is worth more than any single lesson, because it keeps working after the session is over.

The other half of this is access. Every kid deserves professional coaching, not just the families with the time and the money for it. Early Innings is built to be the most affordable and accessible private coaching around, and I mean that. I never want cost or a calendar to be the reason a kid does not get individual attention. If a program is out of reach for your family, call me. We will figure something out.

Two plans

Cheaper than one lesson a week. More often than one lesson a week.

Weekly private lessons around here run $60 to $75 an hour, so roughly $260 a month for four sessions. Core gets you four reviews a month, a training plan, and the full drill library for $147.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one takes two minutes.

STEP ONE

Pick a plan

You get an email right away with your invite to Onform, which is the app we use for video, plus a two minute walkthrough on how to film. Nothing to download beyond that.

STEP TWO

Send film

Phone video is completely fine. One angle from the side and one from the front works best. Cage, field, driveway, garage, all of it works.

STEP THREE

Get the work

Back comes a voiceover breakdown with drawings on the video, your updated plan, and two or three cues to take into the week.

Your player's video stays private. It is used for coaching and nothing else, it is never posted, and it is never shared without you asking me to.

Questions

The things parents ask me first.

What ages and skill levels is this for?+

Any youth player, from kids just starting out through pre high school travel ball. High school players are welcome too. There is no minimum skill level. The drills and the language get adjusted to the player, not the other way around.

Is it just hitting and pitching?+

No. Hitting, pitching, catching, infield and outfield defense, and speed and agility work. Whatever is actually holding your player back is fair game.

How is this different from an in person lesson?+

It does not replace hands on reps and I would never tell you it does. It is how you get consistent, personalized feedback between lessons, or during the weeks you cannot get in, at a fraction of the hourly cost. A lot of families run both.

What if my kid does not know what to work on?+

That is exactly what the first review is for. Send what you have got and the feedback tells you where to focus.

What equipment do we need?+

A phone that shoots decent video. That is it. No radar gun, no tripod, no special gear.

What if our video is bad quality?+

You will get told exactly how to refilm it, and the re send does not count against your reviews for the week.

Can we cancel or switch plans?+

Cancel anytime, month to month, no contract. You can switch between Core and Elite whenever you want and the change takes effect at the next billing cycle.

What happens to our videos?+

They live in your private Onform account and mine. They are used to coach your player and nothing else. Nothing gets posted publicly or shared with anyone unless you specifically ask me to.
